she's home...

The best Easter present in the world arrived from Seattle last night.  Yep!  The daughter is here for a quick visit (leaving Sunday morning).  We're going to pack in as much fun as we can.  She is fun to be around.

No matter how old she gets, she will always look like this to me...

Sweet and contemplative.  My girl has always been a quiet and gentle soul.  I think I took this about 20 years ago.........how is that possible?

Come back later and meet my neighbor - she has a bit of a "rocky" past.

I have always and still do LOVE this photo! It lived on the "honored wall" we call the fridge for MANY years. You did such a good job J - I know why you are so proud! Give her big hugs from all of us! Have fun you two!

WOW. This is an amazing picture. My sister would LOVE to have portraits of her kids like this and if it was 20 years ago, I guess it wasn't digital, ha. You can see the gentleness of her soul in the picture. Beautiful. I'm glad you're sharing more of this black and white stuff. Happy Easter everybody. Can't wait to meet this neighbor.

I am having trouble with my log ins today so in case it doesn't work - I'm KC and I just found your blog from a comment you left on Bluebird Notes. This image is AMAAAZING. I really really love it. I can't believe this is a newish blog. It looks so seasoned and professional (like the photo). I'm going to go start at the beginning and read all the way through so I can get to knwo you. If my log in is still crapped out, I'll be back to sign up as a follower. I'm just so impressed. Do you work for a magazine or something????

This is beautiful dont you wish you could just bottle them up when they are like this.....like the BFG with his dreams. But they grow up and become not just our chldren but our friends. The memories of their childhood when all was before them are such fantastc things. Thats why in a fire, its the photos that people want to save. Chris
