ratta tap tap...

Andrew Henry taps.  A young man who worked outside his office once asked me if AH had been a drummer in college or something.  The answer is no.  It's easy to understand why that young man would assume such a thing.  ANDREW HENRY TAPS ALL THE TIME.  Unless you have been witness to said tapping, you just can't understand the severity of this affliction.  To some (even me) it can be trying, but he's a most adorable sort of fellow so I do my best to find it endearing (and he does windows and floors, so what's a girl to do?).
This brings me to this little video clip he had me watch tonight.  It is truly remarkable.  The level of dedication and talent is astounding.  It's a good 6 1/2 minutes long and is best when played with the volume up a bit, so if you're at work - better hold off.  Watch to the end because I want to know how in the world they didn't burn their hands!  To enjoy, click here.

That is astounding! Such talent and precision! I really enjoyed the clip. So, is Andrew Henry getting a set of drums for his birthday!

That was awesome - thank you for sharing!
Tell AH we know his never ending tap-fest is really just because he marches to the beat of a different drummer, and that is all right with us!
Right good jugglers that lot - and snappy dressers to boot! Talk about a feather in your cap!My boys will LOVE the sword fighting and I'll be forced to hide all of the drumsticks as they will have newfound purpose! (yes - there is a snare drum and a set of bongos in my home - thank you Kimmie and Grandma!) Kinda feel bad for the flag carriers though - wonder if they ever get to play?? Too much of a pun to say that they were smokin' or that they sizzled, huh? I could NOT sit still watching it!
It reminded me of when we walked in a parade at Christmas. It had a drum section like these guys performing, and my boys followed them down the street like they were the pied piper - absolutely mesmerized! So funny to see them marching down the street, wiggling as they went, completely captivated by this rhythm that got right under their skin and into their bones - dancing was mandatory. They were so enthralled that they almost forgot to give out their candy canes! Sword fight be damned, they gotta see this!
