I made some cream of cauliflower and broccoli soup for dinner this week. It was supposed to be just cream of cauliflower soup but I had some broccoli starting to lose its luster so I threw that in with it. The addition wasn't the problem - just didn't have any zip. I doubled the amount of dill....no help. Some salt did help a little, but it still didn't make me want to get up and dance, and I like food to do that. I finally figured it out when I put the dill away. Master detective me, just a master. Check this out.
Expired in 2008! Are you kidding me? This just shouldn't happen to a girl who alphabetizes her spices, now should it?
I better go check the dates on the rest of them. I'm afraid of what I'm going to find! Wait, I'm just noticing I have two Cream of Tartar bottles in there. Why are there two? I don't even know why I have one!

All I have to say about this... Some day... We all turn into our mothers.
Ahhh! A fellow alphabetizer! Love it!
Hubby thinks me insane! But mine are also divided into categories - sweet and savory and alphabetized there-in.
I see something lurking in the back of your group though that makes my head pound - Lawry's! Unless they have stopped making it with MSG - let's just say - it is my gluten!
I don't even know what Cream of Tartar is!
You don't even want to see my spice cupboard, I should say spice shelf!
Why Everton Terrace? Is that where you're from?? Just luv your site..Cynthia
Hi Cynthia, you are so nice, it always makes my day! I am not from Everton Terrace but I am planning a post in the next few weeks to explain. I'm a born and raised Phoenix gal! How about you?
According to AH I don't have any spices!
