It rained here this weekend. Started Saturday night and went on and off throughout Sunday. Heaven. Pure Heaven. Luckily for you, I went for a walk through my neighborhood Saturday afternoon - before the rain.
These wildflowers are everywhere. Everywhere. Well, those specific wildflowers are on the side of the street just down from my house, but you get what I mean. They are popping out of nooks and crannies all over the city. Happens every year. Some front yards are FULL of them. They don't plant them - they just appear. This is the desert. The still cool, blooming, colorful desert, is a sight to behold. I will not be typing these words in July so let's enjoy it now.
Side note: I don't know what they are called, these specific daisy looking desert wildflowers. Anyone?

I miss these flowers. The cherry blossoms all over Seattle are a decent substitute, but nothing beats the smell of desert rain.
I just call them "yellow and orange desert daisies!" I think they belong to the Aster family. They are fabulous!
I remember sitting my then 2 yr. old in the middle of a patch of these flowers and snapping a picture. That was 5 years ago and now she may be afraid there are bugs in them. I love this time of year! Oh, by the way I stopped by your store and you have some wonderful hand-stamped pieces of jewelry/art. Way to go!!!!!! www.etsy.com/shop/RockinJ9designs
They look 'sunny'. Nothing has 'sprung' here yet. Waiting for the trees to blossom, especially the plum.
Hey Jeanine, Thanks for the Etsy support! Your RockinJ9designs shop is FULL of art!
Just gorgeous J! How very sunny! Made me smile!
Beautiful flowers!
We are waiting out winter and looking for the first signs of spring. I don't think it will be anytime soon....
Are they African Daisies???
Maybe they are Black Eyed Susans?
