royal palms...

There is no Friday lunch to post about today because there was no Friday lunch.  There was, however, Sunday breakfast.  It is my favorite meal after all and we went to one of my favorite places so how could  I not take you with me?

First, I must explain.  There are no photos of food.  I know.  I know.  I thought I had done the food from here before but now I believe I have not.  I'm sorry.  Will you forgive me?  Will you stay with me?  Have I lost you forever?

I do know when discussing a restaurant, food is generally an important part of the conversation, but I think you'll enjoy looking around the grounds and I'll just have to go back again (Easter breakfast is already reserved) and capture the food for you.

The restaurant is part of a hotel.  The hotel has a very interesting history which you can read about here.  I live near the hotel so I've never stayed there and it's a little (or more than a little!) out of my usual lodging price range.  It is, however, fabulous, and we love going to breakfast there.  It is fairly affordable.  It's not like grabbing a bagel or stopping at your favorite greasy spoon, but if you're going out for a nicer breakfast, I'd say - fairly reasonable.
Let's take a look.  Inside...

Outside...

STOP THE PRESSES!  I did take a photo of the food.  This is the toast I couldn't eat but I heard it was quite nice.  Who cares how it tastes when it's delivered like this...

Recognize anything?  Yep!!!  This is where I snagged those jam jars last time.  The ones I "hid" in my mother's purse.  Nobody had a purse this time...................but I did have pockets!  Let me introduce you to my three new little friends.

I'm sorry you can't eat the bread...if it helps, I'll go with you every time you go to dispose of the bread before you even see it. Would that help? It would hardly be an inconvenience :)
