vintage find...

Whoopsie - forgot the "vintage find" yesterday - better late than never right?
This isn't exactly a "vintage" find per se, but it's a great bargain I recently snagged and that's just as fun right?

When you sell vintage jewelry and you are driving through Wisconsin and you see a sign for a rummage sale in a little town, know what you do?  You make a u-turn that's what you do.  Sadly, no jewelry for my shop, but something I've been wanting for my kitchen jumped off a table and said "hey there big spender".  An almost brand spankin' new Cuisinart Panini Maker with the instruction booklet caused this big spender to shell out a whole $5.  Doesn't that just tickle you pink?

Wait, there is a "vintage" part to this find!  While I was purchasing this at the 3 table rummage sale in remote Wisconsin, the very smart Andrew Henry reminded me we had no way to get this baby home - suitcases were already full.  Then he found this.  Luckily, we had another $2...

Kind of adorable no?  So, for the high price of $7, we got an awesome (almost) new panini maker, a very cool vintage white Samsonite piece of luggage and this...

Yummy panini deliciousness in our kitchen.  I'm smiling just typing it.  Oh, that's some new gluten-free bread I'm in love with - we might have to talk about that later.

Ooh - when I was living in Morocco (the first, successful time) there was a cafe across the street from my school where my friends would go and eat lunch all the time, and I always got a panini. Sigh, paninis bring back such good memories. And cheese-filled memories are always good.

It is the gift that keeps on giving! ;-) Love a bargain.

Someday you may want to share with everyone the photo I took that showed the hustle and bustle that was the Harrisburg, WI rummage sale...

Hi Melissa, actually it's a suitcase and it is indeed awesome. I have been known to carry a large handbag but this one would be too big for even me.

I LOVE my panini maker. It used to be out on our counter- then I put it away but we take it out almost every weekend to mush something together.

Don't cook and have no room in my kitchen for that anyway but the suitcase. That suitcase is something to smile about. Sooo "in" right now. I cannot believe you found that for a few dollars. It's almost worth trekking the Wisconsin countryside, almost.
