#102...

The apartment.  Let's just dive right in shall we?  I drove for 3 days, through Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Oregon and Washington.  We arrived and immediately began to unload the car.  There was much work to do, #102 looked like this...

I slept on that mattress on the floor (bed was still at old house waiting for Andrew Henry to arrive and haul over).  My mother and the daughter slept upstairs in a friend's apartment.  The friend was away and daughter was babysitting this...

This is "Tuff".  To be more precise, this is Tuff in the car.  We took Tuff everywhere.  I'm not normally drawn to smaller dogs but his fella, this fella stole my heart.  Biggest pile of mush love goo you've ever met.  I wanted to steal him.  Seriously considered it.  He helped ease my aching heart a bit.

Moving on to lamps (obvious transition don't you think?).  The daughter made this lampshade all by her little self, she made a pair...

there is this vintage lamp...

and this combo - vintage lamp with new lampshade from Anthropologie...

Speaking of Anthropologie, there are few other tidbits sprinkled around the apartment that use to live at Anthro'.  These knobs for one.  We put them on some vintage furniture (we painted the furn' the palest of gray)...

These shower curtains...

This GIANT letter "M", which is the daughter's first AND last initial...

and this sweet pillow - present from me to remind her of the sweet verse we use to say when she was little (I like to pretend she still is)...

The Anthropologie goodies blend well with the estate sale, thrift store (the Goodwill in Ballard, Seattle is the best I have ever seen!) and hand me down items that make up the rest of the #102...

Isn't this vintage type drawer filled with tiny trinkets cute?  I've had it for a long time - gave it to the daughter years ago.  This is getting long isn't it?  I'll show you the rest tomorrow, bits and bobs and views of the rooms.  I'll leave you with this.  Remember this set we picked up here in Phoenix at an estate sale...

Well, there was the perfect space above the kitchen sink for them.  Problem was, there was no shelf.  How do you solve this?  If you are Andrew Henry, you go digging in the outside dumpster and find a piece of wood that fits and you hammer in a shelf.  If you are me, you marry Andrew Henry because he always figures out a way to execute my ideas.  AH says the 4 most dreaded words out of my mouth are always "I have an idea"....

See you tomorrow for the rest!

Love that "M". Is that green and greyish thing a jewelry box? If so, I hope it's new so you can tell me where to get one. I want it. I can't wait for tomorrow.

I love everything from Anthropologie. Wish I could afford a whole wardrobe from that store. Very cool.

Tuff is ADORABLE!! So glad he was there to cheer your grieving heart.

Those first few pics look just like my room! Yikes.

Sounds like a lot of work, but maybe? just what you needed?

Shalom.

Pamela, I'm sure her door is open to you anytime!

Reya, it was indeed a good thing to keep my mind busy and the Anthro' items were all purchased when my daughter worked there and she had an amazing discount!

These pictures bring back memories, okay nightmares of our previous moves. You have a lot of really good pieces. I know your daughter will love the new apartment. Even though it is all her own, she can still look around and see you there with her.

love - love - love all your vintage finds that have found a new home in #102. Where were they hiding at the Pagoda?

MJM - 102 and You - looks to be a great combination - enjoy everyday in your new home away from home.
