there was food...

Over 3,000 miles and 13 days later, I'm home from the "help the daughter move in and get settled (buy her furniture and decorate) into her first apartment" trip.  Seattle is lovely, the daughter is lovely and she thinks her first "all her own" place is lovely, so it's all good.

I'll share some snippets of the place and how it all came together tomorrow but today, today I'll show you the grub.

We went to the daughter's special breakfast place (twice) - she had her fav' Huevos Rancheros ...

My mom had cinnamon hazlenut pancakes with chicken sausage...

I think I had an omlette.  Honestly, I can't remember.  This is why I must photograph everything.  I am old and forgetful.

There was ice-cream (twice) from this place, where there is a very long line every single night...

there was fresh fruit from the market...

and because we like to balance things out, there were also doughnut holes from the market (another crazy line every day)...

There is always mexican food because it's very easy to find gluten-free items.  I can't even describe how good this was...

and there was possibly the largest cup of hot chocolate in the entire world...

Seriously.  I ordered a large and this giant bowl of calories arrived.  Yes.  I drank it.  Yes.  I am ashamed.  Please don't tell anyone.  Thank You.

I'm thinking daughter will be having lots of visitors from Arizona especially in Summer. :) That cup of hot chocolate looks like something from the Mad Hatter's Tea Party!

You always seem to find the best resaurants. Do you ever grab take-out? That Huevos Rancheros looks as good as the hot chocolate looks ridiculous. It's almost cartoon like.
