things i love thursday...

Some things I'm loving lately.  Rather random list today.

End of summer tomatoes slow roasted with fresh basil - eating them right out of the pan...

or using them to top some homemade gluten-free pizzas...

freshly picked peaches from my mother, sprinkled with a touch of sugar and piled on some vanilla bean ice-cream for dessert...

the fruit smoothies we have for breakfast during the summer - mango with dark cherry is yummy (even when I accidently put in sesame seeds instead of flax seeds - whoopsie)...

My Bodum glasses that are insulated so there is no condensation on the outside - never need a coaster - gotta love that...

and the gorgeous color combination of this onion I might have left out on the counter a day or two too many (another whoopsie - pattern?)...

Isn't there something so cute about that little shoot coming out?

What are you lovin' this fine Thursday????

Love your "loves" today! I think the shoot is precious! Have an avocado seed doing the same thing, but with a root and from the other end :-D Preparing to be planted in the lovely pot I have awaiting it.
Happy Thursday!

I am loving the thousands of plums which are ripe for the picking on our plum tree. Each day I pick a basket full to give away - and eat almost as many straight off the tree. Must say your tomatoes look yummy too.

Those images are beautiful. I am currently loving the lunch date I have set up with some girlfriends. I am fairly convinced there is nothing better than a long lunch with girlfriends, except maybe a long lunch with Momma.

Yes indeed - lunch with the girls, be it friends, mother or daughter, all nourish the soul.

WOG - would love to receive some of those plums!

Wish you were closer to cook for me! Those tomatoes look scrumptious!
I am loving that I bit the bullet and having friends over for dinner this evening (I don't like to cook). But especially loving that I made the meatballs and sauce on Mon. so no real cooking on the day.
I'm loving that I made my last run to the store at 7:30 a.m. No last minute rush to the grocery store! Famous last words, ha!
I am loving that MJM is having lunch with girlfriends.

Yummm, Yumm and more yum. We've been scarfing down tomatoes all summer... and there's something so precious about the end of the season ones. It's like I want to enjoy every bite knowing I'll have to patiently wait for their return next year.

ESP!! Thank you for answering the question that has been rattling around in my brain for, like--eva! Its high tomato time and I want to roast them, and forgot how to do that. If I was on death row, my last meal would be perfect, perfect tomatoes, Beautiful photos, you should post them on taste spotting!
Yum,
Liz
