things i love thursday...

I"m lovin' this new to me gluten-free pasta...

Seriously, I don't know if it's just been so long since I've tasted the real thing or not, but this stuff is pretty darn close, that is if my memory serves me correctly (it doesn't always).

STILL, loving tomatoes.  These lovely heirlooms are from Trader Joe's and they were perfect the other night with some figs and goat cheese - mouth is watering all over again.

Loving how these apples my mother picked look on my counter - aren't they pretty?  They remind me of schoolchildren waiting in line...

Know what I'm not lovin'?

That I did this AGAIN - I think I do it every. single. blasted time I make oatmeal!

and it leaves SUCH a mess to be cleaned up...

I left the mess there for two days.  I did and I don't care who knows it!  Please don't tell my mother.  Also, please don't tell anyone that I went to the post office with this roller clip in my hair because I forgot it was there...

I must have looked like a crazy lady.  NOBODY said anything and I know the women at my post office.  I am there at least 3 times a week shipping out jewelery.  We talk all the time.  Why didn't they say anything?  I'm that crazy lady and I really shouldn't be allowed out in the general public.  Sadly, this will not surprise my husband, daughter, parents or possibly anyone.

Whatcha lovin' today?

I can't do oatmeal either! Microwave or stove, it's sure to bubble over! Love the roller clip, lol! XX!

I do that scummy boil-over thing when I make rice. Every time. (the hair clip is kinda cute, actually)

I do that with oatmeal, rice AND pasta! I have decided it is actually a step they have neglected to include in the cooking directions - it is part of the process. There - justified.

LOVE the apples - I know that little "child" at the end of the line!

As for the clip - isn't that like the toilet paper stuck to the shoe rule??? I, a true friend, would tell you. And then tell you it looked fine b/c I do it all the time with those little plastic clips with teeth.
Hey, jewelry girl, stick something pretty on it and it is an instant accessory, not a mistake!

They probably thought you did it on purpose. People wore them on purpose in the 90's. You're so retro! :)

I thought about you the other night. Abby's school had a party at a neighborhood pizzaria. They're known for their gluten free pizza and beer. Alas, there was none for me to try. But I hear it's really good.

How nice to be thought of! Our local place just started making some as well, it's a bit pricey but worth it when you just really miss good old pizza.

Heirloom tomatoes mmm!
Ok, the oatmeal, try using a pan twice the size you think you need, it might work.
Love the hair decoration!
A few weeks ago I did an early morning run to the market wearing odd shoes. I have 2 pairs which are very similar and grabbed one of each!

Grami, that's hilarious. Today, I'm loving the fact that I get the chance to get to know all the new 1st year law students. Can't wait to be the big kid!

At 5'3" I don't think you're ever going to be a "big" kid - let's say a "big shot".

you never know, you could be starting a trend on the hair clip. i have seen worse: two different shoes on people, shirt inside out...i sat on a blob of chocolate the other day. nobody told me! sadly i wasn't even eating any!

I do the same thing with oatmeal too! As for the roller thing... your coworkers really should have told you. Maybe they just thought it was a hair clip? That's what it looked like to me.

I'm having a Blog Slumber Party, please come join!!

I actually like the clip! It's kind of fun and funky :) I do that with pasta each time, without fail. Those tomatoes are gorgeous! Have you also tried the Trader Joe brown rice spiral pasta? I found them surprisingly D-lish!

Thanks for your sweet comment on my post--I loved what you said about the hike! So true.

Mmmm, my mouth is watering at all the fruit. Those tomatoes look awesome, and I would never have thought to pair them with figs, but now I absolutely must do that ASAP.

I'm loving my haircut from yesterday as I can stop using the clips in the front of my hair, well at least for a couple of weeks till it grows again!!
