things i love thursday...

A few months ago I saw this lotion on clearance at Target and it was such a bargain I couldn't resist.  I am not an impulse shopper.  Honestly, other than finding things for my business, I don't really like to "shop".  I hate malls.  I just buy what I need........normally.

I wasn't out of my old lotion so it's been in my linen closet until last week.  Holy dear sweet peaches!  I wouldn't have believed there could be such a difference but there is.

Oh yes my friends, I am in soft skin heaven.  This container of sweet goodness is luring me to the dark side of high priced mumbo jumbo.  I know..........it's just, it's just............dagnabbit - I love this stuff.

What beauty item do you splurge on?

This is a PS because I should have mentioned I don't think Target carries it anymore, well mine doesn't.

I will search for this in Target. I guess I too am skeptical that an expensive lotion would work any better but I tend to have the driest skin in the winter so I hope this works! xo

Cor, I wish I could find that in clearance. Clarins is jolly expensive over here. And that is such a lovely cream I absolutely love it when I can afford it.

Yes expensive here as well. I think they were discontinuing it at Target and that's why it was such a bargain.

My 'splurge' by my standards is Yves St. Laurent Touche Eclat under eye concealer. I have tried different brands of concealer and this is the absolute best!

I totally believe you!!!
I'm going to try it. I hope you bought several when they were on clearance. I have a hard time not buying bulk when something is really discounted.

Omg - EVERYTHING. Seriously. I used to only spend money on eyeshadow and lipstick (I didn't like any drugstore ones). Then I started working in the beauty industry (high end) and there is no going back. I'm really lucky though. I get a lot of stuff for free. I don't have to buy much skincare because I am always getting something nice, but I have started spending money on the things that need to be replenished like mascara and foundation. There really is a huuuge difference. I think my biggest splurge is face cleanser. It doesn't stay on your face long so you don't really have to spend much money on it. I have a cheapy brand that works very well. But my favorite is really expensive and I love it because it feels and smells nicer. I don't always splurge on it but I sometimes do. I have become desensitized to the prices and something that I would have found unimaginably expesive seems totally normal now. I will be so screwed if I ever leave this job. :) Clarins is really nice. Lucky you to find it on clearance!

I was just going back over some of your past posts and see you had a birthday that fell right between mine and my son's! Happy Belated Birthday to you. You and your husband's birthdays are close together... how perfect! Hope it was fabulous.

I'm not a big shopper either, but you've just convinced me to go find this next time I hit a Target. Darn - I've been trying to be good for so long! :)

I don't usually splurge on things like this, but probably should. I shall look for it online. I spend my money on my house and yard, and my poor skin suffers!

I don't spend much on beauty products (and like you, I'm just not a shopper!) but I definitely won't back down for body lotion!

I used to splurge on mascara, but I found a drug store one that is even better! And bronwyn... Send some of that product a poor law student's way!

I never splurge on beauty products, so I wouldn't know if there is a difference or not. I would love to try this to see what I think , if they have it here and the price is right!!

Kiehl's Creme de Corps moisturizer and chapstick; Bliss body butter and fatgirlslim; and Lancome mascara are my preferred beauty splurges!

Thanks Ladies for listing all your beauty product fav's. I'm soooooo bad at trying to figure out those things - it all looks the same to me.

My splurge - isn't beauty product related - but makes me feel good none the less.... I get all my sweaters dry cleaned. I know, I know - but when you grow up in a house where "dry clean only" was not allowed actually having clothing that actually requires dry cleaning is quite a splurge.
