vintage finds wednesday...

It was kind of a fashion finds week for me last week at the estate sales.

These are vintage maxi dresses.  I'm thinking summer soiree outfits.
Note to self - must plan summer soiree...

This one is a summer coat thing.  I LOVE it...

can you see the fun buttons...

very cool vintage ties...

and you know I picked up some fun vintage purses of course...

I can see the problem with my new shop (when I open it) will be the same as the one I have with my jewelry shop - I'll want to keep everything for myself!  I did buy something for myself, a backgammon game for $2.  It looks like a suitcase with fancy pieces and dice (one missing that was in there but I must have dropped it at the sale, bummer).  The best part is it came with a "how to play" book because Andrew Henry and I have never played - going to teach ourselves this month.

I really like the last purse. And backgammon - love it! My and my husband learnt it in Greece several years ago and play it a lot. Have a bit of a collection now as well, as we tend to but a new one everytime we are on vacation.

Wow you hit the jackpot at that estate sale. I love it all. Those dresses are great. I just bought some long indian tunics at the gem and jewelry show that look like that and I can't wait to wear them. And that last purse is adorable!!!

Wonderful finds!! I used to have some dresses like this but of course don't have them any more- what goes around comes around in fashion. And be careful with the backgammon - VERY addictive!!!

Love those estate sales! The clothes are perfect for a Phoenix summer! I have played Backgammon but need a refresher course. I think you have some extra dice floating around :)

I think your new shop will be like going to the coolest thrift store ever without having to leave your home!Sounds way better than trekking all over town with two impatient little boys!

I LOVE THE CLOTHES HERE!
i went shopping yesterday for the first time in forever and saw lots of mexican embroidered shirts and dresses back on the racks, but if you can find the originals like you did, those are the best!

Love all your estate/auction finds. How do you go about finding these sales? I would love to go to some in the Chicago land area on my days off. Any tips you have to offer would be greatly appreciated.
