This is my weekly Friday feature. I send my daughter, who is in interning in D.C. for the summer, a photograph I've taken and she sends me back a quote she feels goes with it. So the image is something I photographed that touched me and the words are something she read that touched her. Hopefully, both pieces will be a bit more inspiring as a result...
"The mighty oak was once a little nut who stood its ground." -Anon.
Have a great weekend and I'll see you on the flip side!
Straight away this image and the quote made me think of the following song by iconic singer/songwriters Paul Kelly and Kev Carmody..
From little things big things grow.
Happy Friday everyone!
Perfect pairing!! I was just thinking the same this past week as my eldest left for his first year of law school. It seems like just yesterday he was a little acorn!!
I love this picture and quote pairing!
How long will she be in DC? I am going for another visit in November. She goes to law school at UW right? (Or is it Gonzaga?)
love love love this one! that photo is so great and i think that quote goes so well. we're all growing and changing and look what we can become. happy friday!
Don't worry if your job is small and your rewards are few.
Just remember that the mighty oak was once a nut like you.

So fitting for gearing up for home school!
