I'm still continuing to ponder my spot here blogland and until a decision materializes, I'll keep plugging away.
We are dog people, big dog people. I would love to live on a ranch somewhere and have like 10 dogs (or more). When we moved into the Pagoda, we had two dogs - Jake and Dempsey, both are gone now.
We adored them, we miss them every day, but now they feel a little closer.
I had this photo of Jake and Dempsey enlarged and put on a wrapped canvas. We put it here on our bedroom wall so we see it each morning when we wake up. Obviously it's not the same as having them here, and of course they are always in our hearts but seeing them there, looking out the window together, like they always did, is a really nice way to start the day.
Are you a dog person? Cat person? Birds? Fish? No pets?

Oh how I adore this.
I'm a big dog person and Luke is my special mate who keeps me company and brings me great delight every day.
We lost our boxer Buster this time last year and it still surprises me sometimes that he's not there to greet me when I come home.
I hope that you may one day have the joy of a wonderful furry family member Jeanette they really are precious gifts indeed.
That is beautiful and I love dogs. Balazs and I have two Westies. We love them so very much. Have a nice Thursday morning, my dear. Kisses
what a great picture and piece of art. I'm an animal lover--I like them all. I share my couch and blankets with a dog though :)
love this! How very special and SO beautiful!
Have a large pastel of "the girls" in our living room from when they were 1 and 4 - now one has gone and the other 15 1/2 - I cherish it now - and suppose I will cherish it even more later.
Love what you did with the photo! And I thought there was going to be a new puppy. Big hounds rule here in the form of yellow labs - down to one at the moment. Have had several dreams lately of training a new yellow pup..uh-oh
xo Cathy
We have two giant labs, not chubby, just beyond huge. We have a little kitty, also. I would have, and have had, many birds, fish (11 tanks of insanity), and furry little hamsters (way way back) but the husband can only handle so much, and he is a keeper.
The art is a great new addition. I have done a couple of animal pieces but they are usually tear jerkers, like the rodeo horse I drew. Tears and pencil work or oil paint do not blend well. They ARE worth the recipients response, though. Priceless. ;)
Love the picture!! I am a dog person but I am a softy and feel empathy for all creatures. Daisy is our Black Lab... She was a foundling. She is approx. 2 years old now and of course she hasn't "matured" yet :) We have had dogs for the past 30 plus years but have also had kitty-cats and loved them all.
I really do love that picture.
I'm glad to see the responses from the other dog lovers out there. Dogs are good for the soul.
definitely dog, but there's something about a cute kitten!
I am a dog person love my Scotties. We have had two wonderful cats, several rabbits, birds, snakes and a wonderful rat.
Love them all.
The photo is wonderful !
cheers, parsnip
I love this idea--and the photo is stunning. Our dog dash is 6--I wish we had room for more dogs but it just doesn't work in a NY apartment. Hope you have a fantastic weekend! xxBarbara
Dog person but alas no dogs part of our family at the moment. 2 cats, two bearded dragons, several pond fish and 3 kids who 'babysit' the neighbourhood pets when folks are away... 1 bunny, 2 rats, 2 dogs and many cats.
Your room is stunning, j
very cool print. you have a business there!
we would love a little puppy! jorja can't wait to have a real pet someday.
What a beautiful image of the puppers! Love dogs for sure...wish I had some to come home to. It's always nicer having a welcoming party to make you smile. :)
I love this idea. We are dog people and really miss our dear Martha whom we lost 4 years ago. I think I need to do the same as a lovely tribute to her and to make us smile everyday too. xo
Definately a dog and horse person. Can't have cats out here (tho they'd keep the little vermin away) because the wildlife would chew them up. I found this out first hand with MOUSE, my cat of 13 years. She moved 4 times with me. Then one night my lovely, caring husband did not do his due diligence when he shut the garage door (he assumed she was in). Enough said, I still love him very much :)
So, we stick with the animals who are not outsized.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this! So chic. What a great crisp room.
