andrew henry's world...

This is a glimpse into our past week as seen through the eyes of my husband, Andrew Henry.

Andrew Henry says: This is kind of cheating because I didn't take the photo but I staged it and that's my arm so I'm counting it.  I was standing outside, Jeanette was inside her studio with the window open, we were talking.  The hummingbird kept coming for a drink right next to me.  I held out my hand in hopes he would land there.  This is him just checking me out before getting a drink.  He came back several times.  The wings sound very cool.

Jeanette says:  AH is so lucky.  I stood out there one day for about 1/2 an hour waiting for one. I was so still, almost holding my breath, but nothing.  This hummingbird is named Lucy because her head is crazy red (young people won't get that).  AH says it's a male but I don't care.  I have names for all of them.

A big shout out THANK YOU to Stacey over at Design Addict Mom (who I adore).   I won Stacey's awesome Crate and Barrel giveaway.  If you haven't met Stacey yet, pop over and tell her hello, she's a beautiful gal with an awesome style sense and a new baby at home!  Thanks again Stacey.

Love hummingbirds and always include red flowers in our planters each year for them. So when ours fly south for the winter - your place is where they must go!

How cool! I'll have to linger outside when I'm home to see if they'll approach me.

I love it! Nice shot Jeanette!
I love the wonderful creatures that live in the different parts of Arizona (other places too). Our hummingbirds also have gone to the warmer climes of our state.

Great shot; did you know that Disney modeled Tinkerbell's flight pattern on actual hummingbirds? so hopefully there is a Tink too among your flock of Hummingbirds! That's what I think of when I see one!
