I was very excited to find this beautiful pair of signed Alice Caviness earrings...
Alice Caviness went from being a fashion model to a clothing designer and then started a costume jewelry business in 1945. Her jewelry was sold in exclusive boutiques and department stores. Her pieces were highly regarded and sought after. Mostly sold New York, but she also had showrooms in Dallas, Miami, Chicago, Los Angeles and Raleigh, NC. This and more information about Alice Caviness can be found here. Her jewelry is still sought after by collectors, so when you are out at those flea markets, garage sales or just digging in your mother's or grandmother's jewelry boxes - keep your eyes open for the Alice Caviness name on the back!
I also found this neat 1980s bracelet (which sold yesterday a few hours after I listed it)...
and this striking brooch which I think would be fabulous for a wedding...
and that's it for my last San Diego treasure hunt. Oh, and about 10 pair of vintage cufflinks but I didn't think you'd be quite as interested in those. I spent about an hour digging through mounds to find them. The guy selling them never sorts them, he just throws them all in together and you have to dig to find the matches. My hands are filthy by the time I finish at his booth, but I always dig up a treasure or two, so I keep returning.
I tell ya, I seem to sell a lot of cufflinks - especially during wedding and holiday seasons.

Love them, what finds !
I used to go to a "Tall Mouse Craft" store in California, when my children where younger, they had a big bowl of buttons and I would just stand there and look through them. You never knew what wonderful buttons you would find.
cheers, parsnip
Absolutely beautiful. You should teach a class on how to photograph for your ETSY shop :)
