a musical vortex...

I don't usually post things like this.  I was going to post some fun jewelry finds I picked up while treasure hunting with my daughter, but I think that will have to wait until tomorrow because of the vortex I've been sucked into.

Join me in the vortex won't you?  Today, take 4 minutes and listen to this kid sing.  He's wonderful.  You don't even have to sit and watch for the 4 minutes, just start it and listen while you do something else but watching it is fun because you can tell he really feels the music.  I felt inspired and joyful afterward (and clicked on all the links to hear him sing many other songs - I told you.......vortex).

THEN, if you'd like to spiral down even further and blow off the laundry, dusting and other general things you should be doing - find 8 minutes.  Seriously, find them and use them to watch this one.  Read the subtitles, discover his story.  This soul who, at 5 years old, was alone wandering the streets, will inspire you.

We all have a song in our heart, he sure did.  I can't stop thinking about him.  I want to adopt him.  He has inspired me today.  Inspired me and made me weep like a small child.  I'm weeping in the vortex of inspirational music videos on youtube when I should be working on jewelry and putting away laundry.  Whatever.  Vortex today, laundry tomorrow.

PS - go over here and enter Felicity's giveaway.  All you have to do is tell her your favorite word - easy and kind of fun!
AND Kirsten is giving away one of her original pieces (I own 4 and love them) - enter here!

Stunning! I so agree with you...he feels that song so strongly. Sometimes its time to get away from the busywork of our lives and just dive into that vortex.

Oh, that Korean guy is amazing. He brought tears to my eyes, not from his incredibly sad story. But from his singing, it was amazing! Thanks for sucking us all in to the vortex with you :)

OMG Jeanette I had such a good cry over this amazing young man. What a tragic but inspirational story. May the universe reward him greatly and may he heal some of his wounds.

Thank you so much for sharing.

xx Charlotta

The second I heard his name I knew he was Korean and as a child would have problems in Japan. There is much lingering hatred between Japan and Korea that goes back forever.
As much as I love living in Japan they have some real problems although many are getting better.
But even 20 years ago a part Korean child left on his own would have such problems.

Wonderful music today. Thank you...

cheers, parsnip

Could only listen - I'm at work and they frown on youtube here. Imagine. ;) Such a wonderful voice. Will have to watch when I get home. I'm sure Abby will enjoy watching with me.

And you made me laugh with "vortex". I always call youtube "the rabbit hole". Lots of things have to wait until tomorrow when I fall down the youtube rabit hole. :)
