the farmer's market...

The basket I've been using as my purse.
While I was on my most recent bloggy vacation, we took a trip to our favorite relaxing getaway, Coronado.  It was a lovely 6 days of dog beach fun, lazy days and early nights.  We got a little bit more done on the project we've been working on - which I will eventually share.  We also ventured off here and there, explored the area around San Diego - enjoying the much cooler temp's.  One of the delights of the week was our Sunday drive up to the farmer's market in Rancho Santa Fe.

Oh the culinary delights that awaited us there were divine!  Between the three of us, we tasted a Lebanese sandwich, French crepes and pastries, Mexican  tamales, Spanish sandwiches (I could have eaten 3 they were so good), and cookies.  We brought home savory almonds (divine), farm fresh butter and fruit, an amazing goat cheese and the best (by a mile) gluten-free bread I have ever tasted!  You would think that also getting to pet puppies up for adoption was the best part but no.  The very best part was...

My daughter's purse is on the right and my *shopping bag* is on the left.
I got to meet Andrea from French Basketeer.
I don't know what to say except she is everything you imagine and hope she is.
Talent oozes out of her, she's beautiful, fabulously chic, warm, energetic and kind.  I'm completely smitten with her and her fabulous baskets.  I'd love nothing more than to follow her around and learn from her.  My daughter and I left the market with 3 baskets.  All 3 have been used and both of us have carried nothing but them as our purses since we got home.  Her reusable fruit/veg baggies are a must.  I highly recommend stopping by her shop for a basket of your very own.

That's 3 real life blog friend meets for me and I've enjoyed them all - hope there will be more in my future!

now you KNOW I am not a purse person - as I still live in the backpack stage of my life with my two little fellas - BUT - I LOVE these! They are fabulous! (I know HUGE compliment from me!) I would carry one of those - even while wearing my ball cap, running shorts and sneakers! I think it would be just the thing to pull that outfit together! Love them!

I also found my way to this market. It is worth the trip and Andrea is delightful. I was so excited to finally purchase some of her baskets. I can now pretend that I am shopping at a French market, with my basket.
