We're back from our trip to Washington, D.C.  It was great and I'm exhausted - as usual.  We saw monuments and museums galore, visited Arlington and Mount Vernon.  We rode bikes through the mall, got caught in the rain, ate good food and I finally met a fellow blogger!  My husband, daughter and I met Reya for dinner and it was so fun - like being with an old friend.  I met her with the anticipation of friendship and left her with the confirmation of it.  Now I want to meet all of you!

It's always fun to visit our daughter in the various places she hangs her hat.  The sublet she has been living in since May is, by far, the nicest building of the bunch.
Thought you might like a little tour around the lobby of the building we got to stay in, the place she has been calling home - though the building is technically called the "Wyoming".

Ridiculous right?  No wonder she fell in love with that city, no wonder indeed.

I like all sorts of architecture.  I just appreciate good design in any form.  When we bought Pagoda, I fell in love with Modern.  Can't say it ever struck me before, but when it hit, it hit hard.  That's why this was fun for me.

I think this one was Frank Sinatra's house.

Now, I'm not sure where to file this one.  Not exactly "Modern Architecture" but I swear to you this was in someone's front yard.  The best part......they are only 3 of MANY and they were big people, BIG.  We figured it might have something to do with why the house across the street was for sale.  Just sayin'........
