she read, she saw...

This is my weekly Friday feature. I send my daughter, who is finishing up her third year of law school in Seattle, WA, a photograph I took and she picks a quote to go with it.  So the image is something I photographed that touched me and the words are something she read that touched her. Hopefully, both pieces will be a bit more inspiring as a result...

Photo info: Another photo I took in China last month.  This beautiful woman was visiting the Summer Palace with what looked like her granddaughter .  They approached me with their camera and I assumed they wanted me to take a photo of them but that wasn't the case.  Through hand gestures and smiles, they made it clear this woman wanted her photo taken WITH me.  Our tour guide explained this woman, from a remote area of Tibet, had never seen an exotic westerner like me with big light colored eyes and blonde hair.  I then took here photo, we hugged and smiled.  The world felt big and small and magical all at the same time.  One of my favorite moments.  Love the quote my daughter picked to go with it!
