If you are just joining us for our tour of Palm Springs, please stop by
here and catch up. Now, this is fun. When you take a million photos in a small lobby of an historic inn, they notice. I mean, I was sitting on the floor to take some of the shots, it's something you notice. We got to talking, this happens to me frequently, and the very kind manager started telling me stories. She told me about the things they found in the basement. One of those things were guest cards. Old guest cards. Guest cards kept by the original inn owner. The owner kept notes on them, whether or not she liked them, whether or not she would allow them back and little quirks they had. Funny. Best part?
She brought out an album full of these original guest cards originating from the '40's and let me LOOK THROUGH IT. Oh dear, heart be still. This, for me, was fun. I snapped a few photos for you because I'm good that way. I share the love.
I was excited to see Greer Garson. She was one of my all time favorites. Also have to give a shout out to Barbara Stanwyck - can you say "Big Valley" anyone? See any of your favorites?
