things i love thursday...

I have a new facial cleanser I'm enjoying and tried some very tasty walnut prune things from Trader Joe's this week but they aren't on my list today.  Nope not today.

I've mentioned my serious girl crush on Kirsten from Tollipop before.  I adore her artwork, the stories she weaves and most of all the delightful and inspirational way she is raising her three charming daughters.

Yesterday I read something on her blog and it got to me.  I repeated it to Andrew Henry at breakfast this morning and again the tears welled up in my eyes.  It is still on my mind, it's beautiful and it is the thing I am loving most this Thursday.

Kirsten was discussing their family evening prayer time and mentioned the words her daughter Caroline offered.  Here is an excerpt...

At one point she brought up a homeless man she had seen the week before.  She asked God to help him find something to eat and drink that evening.  And then she said, "If he has to lay down on the street to sleep tonight...please make it feel to him as if he's in a bed."

It's so beautiful it makes my heart hurt a little bit.  Kinda trumps facial cleanser and Trader Joe's I think.  Pop over and visit Tollipop for the full post.

things i love thursday...

One of the things I love on this Thursday is, well, a combo.  It's a blog, art and a giveaway all wrapped up in one.

I've got a few girl crushes.  One in particular is for Kirsten and her adorable blog, Tollipop.  Kirsten is a talented and funny writer, as well as a gifted artist.  I own one of her prints and it's something I treasure.  I kind of don't want to tell you she's hosting a giveaway for one of her adorable prints because it will lesson my odds of winning, but I believe in kharma so here you go...hop on over to Tollipop and enter to win the "little miss somebody" print.  I suppose I might as well wish you good luck while I'm at it.  Though, I'm not sure I really mean it.
