Thought we'd finish up our culinary adventure with a few short food related posts today. Some good, some not so much. Up first...
I don't like coffee - never have. I do like chocolate, in almost any form. Yesterday, I made myself a nice cup of cocoa and grabbed a little gluten-free macaroon for a special treat. It's not that bad, look how tiny the macaroon is, I mean really. Also, it was mint chocolate and I love that combination, but it didn't love me. Guess what I discovered after finishing the whole cup.....some hot chocolate has GLUTEN in it. That particular cup of hot chocolate has gluten in it. That will be my last cup. Au Revoir my sweet friend - parting is such sweet sorrow.

Mmmmm- what a welcome sight on this freezing morning. I love that it is dark chocolate - I believe that chocolate can soothe the soul - or at least mine. But it has to be really good chocolate. English chocolates are on my favorites list. Not the slimy milk chocolate they cover our grocery store candy in! That should not even be allowed in the chocolate family~ it is such an echo of what it once was. Now, it being Friday, I think later, when all my plates have been spun, I shall invite our friend chocolate over to meet my friend smooth-red wine and sit and relax with a smile - for hubby comes home today!

After some thought, I also realized that chocolate goes quite well with my other constant companion....peanut butter! No wonder I love that stuff! So versatile - gets along in any company!

Gluten= bad. Chocolate= good.
I should probably part with coffee....it never makes me feel 100%. Yet I keep going back...
Like so many other things...bad boyfriends, processed foods, gossip, NUTELLA....

Half decaf coffee and half French Vanilla coffee in my cup.
