I was standing at my kitchen counter yesterday eating lunch. It was a pathetic sight, real - but pathetic, so I reached over, grabbed the camera, and took this photo. It is not set up in any way - this is exactly what I was looking at as I stood alone in my kitchen.
You are looking at the corn chips I ate for lunch. Corn chips with a side of salsa. Yes, that's some leftover take-out salsa from an enchilada Andrew Henry brought home for my dinner last week. Next to that is a bottle of B Vitamins I keep forgetting to take so I put them out to remind me. I'm so used to them being out now I just seem to move them back and forth out of the way, without ever remembering to take one.
There is also a magazine (I have a HUGE problem with magazines which will not be discussed at this time) that I was flipping through as I was eating. It was an article on wasting less I believe - which I was already doing by not using a plate AND using up that leftover salsa, thank you very much! You can also see some cards we got in Prague last summer (possibly my only souvenir) that have been there since last Friday night.
That's it for now. Just shooting it straight. It's not all glamorous restaurants and cocoa in china with mini macaroons around here. I've said it before and I'll say it again (and again and again), it's all about balance people - balance. Later today, I'll introduce you to my houseguest. I think you'll love her!
What on earth are you doing up at 4:30am? I thought that at 6:45am I was being an early bird this morning! I saw the sunrise, to me that's early! I don't think I had lunch yesterday but the corn chips and salsa don't appeal to me anyway. Tomorrow is Friday.......
Did you take that photo at my house??
You know - they say the key to balance it to keep your eyes forward - DON"T look down! :-D
Nothing pathetic about it - let's stick the wasting less mantra, shall we :-D
Never mind that chips and salsa sound yummy right now!
Here's a little blogger secret (ONLY to those people who don't have blogs) - you can set up your post to publish at any time. I set it up early for the East Coast AND our now many international readers! I do get up before dawn most days, as you know. Like to cram in as much as I can!
Yesterday for lunch... I had... I don't remember. But today I am having leftover cream cheese chicken enchiladas that I made because I was missing home. MMMMMM.
Yes, those are quite tasty - almost makes me wish I still ate chicken. Wonder how they would taste if I substituted beans?
I like things to be orderly but don't mind a bit of a mess when I am in the middle of a project. By the way, being orderly doesn't mean I know where anything is at any given moment, I am not a 'finder' of things.
