I can only think of funny captions and I love that Thoreau quote, so I'll leave it with that. It is kind of a funny picture. Nice, but funny.

I agree - it is funny to me also - but only b/c I picture those little birds in motion and how funny they look with their little tiny legs as they scurry along - always makes me grin. Love the quote - love the pic. Henley - you really should share what sprang into your mind - captions tell a lot about a person - I love that all the ones you could think of were funny - I tend toward the humorous side of things myself - makes for much happier days :-D

Sarah, I find it VERY interesting that quote is Napoleon. Interesting indeed.

Interesting as in intriguing or interesting as in amusing?

This from a man who also said:
"The surest way to remain poor is to be honest" and “I can no longer obey; I have tasted command, and I cannot give it up.”

Remind me, why is it called napoleon syndrome?

Oh - How I love to play the antagonist ;-D

They do say, however, that the nut jobs of the world are also the most imaginative!

I love this pic of the Sandpipers. I think they are saying "We are marching to our own 'Piper' ". :)

whether you choose to love him or hate him napoleon is indeed interesting!
he also said "all religions have been made by man..."
"doctors will have more lives to answer for in the next life than we generals"
"history is a set of lies agreed upon"
when i found out that napoleon had epilepsy i was instantly interested!
"you must not fear death my lads, defy him and drive him into your enemy's ranks"
he saw that emotion was a physical thing that could effect a persons thoughts and choices.....napoleon changed the world in ways that effect us today! read the napoleonic code! you will be stunned!

Love your picture. At the start of February I posted about my husband writing down what I said when I mumbled awake after a dream ...
"...And we saw them
all gathered together,
crowded
like unnumbered gulls".
Glad he wrote it down,I never would have remembered what I said.
So that's my quote.
Wish I could be so poetic in my waking life. I am more familiar with mundane utterances like "so..is it toast for breakfast then?"
