Fresh flowers. A no-brainer right? I know. I love them in the house. They just always feel so decadent, even if they were clipped from your own garden and thrown in a coffee cup. Fresh flowers in your home are delicious! I'm partial to the calla lily. Carried them in my wedding. The elegantly long stems and gently unfolding single petal speak to me. They seem regal. I think they have no smell because they just don't need it. They can stand on their beauty alone.
Let us not forget the simple tulip. No intoxicating smell. No long, regal stems. Simple and sweet the tulip is. Not dramatic. Wait, did I say that? I shouldn't have because look at these beauties...
Andrew Henry brought these home for our daughter while she was visiting during Easter. A man should do things like this for his daughter. He is teaching her what to expect from a man. Raise your bar ladies. Raise your bar! Of course, I'm of the mind, if nobody brings you flowers, and you want flowers - get them for yourself!
Your favorites????

I love the same flowers as you. I would add Ranunculus to the list and a dark horse, not very flower like flower called "bells of ireland" as well. Fresh flowers should not be considered a luxury, but a neccessity!
Henley, how amazing! I had Bells of Ireland in my wedding! My bridesmaids carried them. They were a tribute to my Irish Nana. I'm thrilled you've mentioned them!
Oh - I too had the bells of Ireland - this is getting weird!.....birds of a feather......
Amen Henley - I am with you. Though - please do not bring me roses unless you cut them from my garden! I too love the flowers you have mentioned and also carried the calla lily in my wedding. I also love little delicate orchids - they so intrigue me! But my most favorite is the buttercup - often considered a weed by many - it holds a very sentimental place in my heart - and next to the dandelion, is the flower my little boys present me most often. See, sentimental - little gentlemen in training, preparing for the likes of your daughter, I hope. So Sweet!
I like them all. No favorites. Are those the ACTUAL tulips in your house? Like, you just snapped that AMAZING photo of them? I'm really impressed. Beautiful pictures.
Thank You KC. Yes, those are the same tulips. I saw the sun hitting them like that and took a couple photos. It's what inspired this post!
Definitely, creamy white lillies are my favourite. While I love their elegance, I like the bright cheery presence of daisies, pink, yellow, white, such fun. Also, to breathe in the heady fragrance of a deep red rose, is one of the many things that makes life worth living.
"Who dares to say that plants and flowers have no souls? The truth is that I have seen many laugh, many:
And have seen many cry."

Yes, like you, I love flowers very much, love growing them, and always have them in my home where they seem to enjoy to be!
Roses! Especially Double Delight and Blue Ribbon! Intoxicating.
A.H. sounds like a real doll. Yes, I love Stargazers as well. I get the bunch at TJ's my cat Ginger loves them as well and often sticks his little nose in them and it ends up with all that orange pollen all over his little face...
I don't have a favorite flower but I think wildflowers are so rewarding. With no special care and just dependent on weather conditions they are capable of giving such a marvellous show.
lilly of the valley
my hubby knows I love flowers so each time we walk by some he asks "would you like flowers?". that of course kills the moment... sneaky!
