vintage finds...

Our purse this week is not the classic we first saw, or the sassy mid-century clutch I showed you last week.  No.  This one is funky.  Perhaps even "funkadelic" if you will.  I don't know what possessed me really.  It was only $3, maybe that was it.  No.  Probably the cool shape and the graphic black and white print.  I love black and white.  I like different.  I don't want things you can just get anywhere and I don't believe you can get this one just anywhere.

I have only used it a few times and only when I was wearing something very simple and all black.  It should not be combined with any other flair.  It's pretty enough flair for any ensemble.  You might look like a crazy person (Andrew Henry should refrain himself here because I know what he's thinking) if had much more bling than this.  In fact, I haven't decided if I like it as a purse, just that I like it.  I might come up with some other cool use for it.  I love to use things in unexpected ways.

Do you like it?  You can be honest.  Really.  It will not hurt my feelings.  I think it's okay, no, more than okay, GREAT even, for us all to have different tastes.  Otherwise, we'd all look exactly the same, and me, I like different.

love daisies, love black and white, love wearing the color black - have a million things this would go with. It is a conversation piece I think - so one should be prepared when venturing out with it, no? Reminds me of a really fun raincoat I once had :-D

OMG, I missed the morning post! No way I would have stuck with that crap. This purse. I scour NYC vintage stores for exactly this type of thing. When you get sick of it, I'll take it off your hands!

I have never liked it before, but since I am on the hunt for a new lunchbox to take with me to the law school (instead of the Safeway bags I am currently using), I would like it for that purpose.

I was going to leave a comment about not knowing whether or not I like the bag, but I really like the idea of it being a lunchbox!

Ha Cythinia, you may be on to something. I am planning a giveaway next month. Was going to do jewelry but maybe this purse would be more well received!
