the craft fair...

Saturday I participated in my first craft fair.  It was an okay day.  I sold some pieces, met some nice people and Andrew Henry got to eat chocolate chip cookies - mostly I learned, which is always a good thing.  The main thing I learned is something I already knew - location, location, location.  Both the location of the craft fair and the location of your booth.  I was a late entry and therefore at the very back.  That's not the best place to be.  No it's most certainly not.

Last week was a crazy blitz of making jewelry and displays, pricing and packing.  My poor house is covered in beads, wire, tools, metal etc. (and lots of dust).  While I go about getting my life (and house) back in order, I thought I'd share some of what it looked like around here prior to the fair...

It's not all shiny and pretty - it never is.  I broke all 10 of my fingernails steel wooling (word?) these puppies...

Totally worth it though...

Now, back to the dust...

Your jewelry looks beautiful and I love your cards. Your weekend sounds exactly like mine! First craft fair (with my beads and jewelry), late entry, sketchy locale, ruined manicure. In addition, we had hideous judging and blazing heat. Still, I insist that it was fun. :)

Until the dust is so thick you think you have acquired new doilies - I just wouldn't sweat it! I am coming to believe an overly clean house is a sign of insanity :-D

Love you work! Just beautiful stuff!

Love the chandeliers! And live and learn on those things, I think you're right, that's the kind of thing that just comes with experience! XX!

Your jewelry is so unique and was beautifully displayed. Location, location, location is a proven thing.
I'm proud of you for going out there and doing your thing, it's all part of the journey and like Mermaid glass said, I'm sure you had fun and the memories will only improve with time!

I just *love* (LURVE) your stuff! I love the pretty aesthetic - it's even more special because you showed us the sweat behind it :) You're so motivating me to get back on my (casual) beading bandwagon!

Couldn't do a drawing as the people putting on the craft fair were doing one (I had to donate an item) and no AH was buying the cookies. I had some candy to put out but forgot it - next time.
