andrew henry's world...

This is a glimpse into the past week as seen through the eyes of my husband, Andrew Henry.

"I saw this great WWII era B-17 Flying Fortress at the air show this weekend.  Jeanette said that's Betty Grable on the side.  I don't know who that is but the plane was great.  The air show makes every guy wish he had been a fighter pilot.  I think I enjoyed the day much more than my wife."

Side note from Jeanette: he did.

OK - I have to post you your boy from mine:
Bray says "WOW! Coolio!"
Declan says "That airplane is GIANT!"
(i gotta agree with them.....)

And then they both asked "Can we go see it?" (with those big wide and expectant little boy eyes)

Thanks for sharing Uncle AH - you've made their day!

I love the chick.
I wish that was my job.
(Posing by airplanes. Not flying them. I am way too unstable for that.)

My poppa flew in a B-17 called “Funny Face” in WW11 as a naviagator. So that is my # 1 fave plane. I’ve been inside one and had an opportunity to fly in it (big bucks!) but didn’t do it cause I knew I’d just be crying the whole time and miss it all. Dad was based in Sudbury in England and I was able to visit that on one trip over...I miss him.

Great shot! And sometimes it's good to go do things like that with your spouse :) even if they do have more fun :)

Love the pin-up! I had a Betty Grable doll when I was very young!

I didn't know that!

Recently saw a short bio on Betty Grable. Having all guys in the family, I know how an air show makes them all dream of being that pilot like AH! And how he conveniently included the classic pinup in the photo!

What a guy! Planes, cars, motorbikes, boats - basically anything that travels I guess.

Re: Dubai malls looking empty - I was there in the morning each time and all the malls didn't get busy until about 4pm each day (they're all open until midnight). But I do wonder as well how all the designer shops can ALL be profitable enough to stay open!

This gal stayed home while her boys went to the air show. :)

Betty Grable had the best gams in the biz.
