things i love thursday...

I have a new facial cleanser I'm enjoying and tried some very tasty walnut prune things from Trader Joe's this week but they aren't on my list today.  Nope not today.

I've mentioned my serious girl crush on Kirsten from Tollipop before.  I adore her artwork, the stories she weaves and most of all the delightful and inspirational way she is raising her three charming daughters.

Yesterday I read something on her blog and it got to me.  I repeated it to Andrew Henry at breakfast this morning and again the tears welled up in my eyes.  It is still on my mind, it's beautiful and it is the thing I am loving most this Thursday.

Kirsten was discussing their family evening prayer time and mentioned the words her daughter Caroline offered.  Here is an excerpt...

At one point she brought up a homeless man she had seen the week before.  She asked God to help him find something to eat and drink that evening.  And then she said, "If he has to lay down on the street to sleep tonight...please make it feel to him as if he's in a bed."

It's so beautiful it makes my heart hurt a little bit.  Kinda trumps facial cleanser and Trader Joe's I think.  Pop over and visit Tollipop for the full post.

Don't you just love Trader Joe's. I found the little tasty walnut prune crackers, cookies ? and thought them wonderful.
They remind me of something my Mum used to make.

cheers, parsnip

Jeanette,

Thank you for this lovely mention. As we all know, it is very difficult to trump Trader Joe's. I feel as if our girl crush knows no bounds.
