a long soak...

Continuing on with a tour from my recent trip to England.

How about a trip to Bath?

Ancient walkways under ancient arches...

that lead to ancient healing waters...

that some are still using...

and the view of the gothic church across the street wasn't too bad either...

I like to imagine the artisans and craftsman who built all this wonderous beauty.  The Romans creating Bath to resemble their homeland and much later the laborers erecting that gorgeous gothic cathedral (which reminds me of "Pillars of the Earth" - great book).

Bath, England - such an interesting and thought provoking side trip we took this time around.  I highly recommend a visit :)

You're right Jeanette, Bath is beautiful. When I used to live in London, I would take weekend trips there.

Hope you're doing well! xo

I was in Bath years ago (actually decades ago) and it's amazing how it is exactly how I remember. I love the contrast of the elegant Crescent with the ancient Roman baths - what a beautiful historic city!!

I loved my visit to Bath. The fact that you have the beauty of the Roman architecture and English Gothic Cathedral in on area, quite fabulous.
The Pillars Of The Earth is one of my all time favorite books.

Wonderful photos.

cheers, parsnip
