she read, she saw...

This is my weekly Friday feature. I send my daughter, who is in interning in D.C. for the summer, a photograph I've taken and she sends me back a quote she feels goes with it. So the image is something I photographed that touched me and the words are something she read that touched her. Hopefully, both pieces will be a bit more inspiring as a result...

"Perhaps the greatest social service that can be rendered by anyone to this country is to bring up a family."
-George Bernard Shaw

Have a super weekend and I'll see you on the flipside.

love the quote AND the photo. how can one NOT have memories from bowling ally's? We spent so much time there. On a less fun note, I had to take bowling for a P.E. credit in College. that was not fun. being in the basement of an old stinky building, and the shoes.... oy

Amen! Raise them to be conscientious, contributing adults! Working on that moment by moment!

And some days...yes, we tumble like bowling pins! But not every day!

Happy Weekend All!

Hope you stay cool J - I'm wearing my snorkel :-)

First I had a somewhat long look at the pic wondering what quote MJM would put with it. I read the quote looked back at the pic and the pins looked like a family, standing tall and proud!
Nice shot Jeanette and insightful pairing M.
Wonderful weekend all!

What a wonderful quote and photo.

This post today fits in with the many thought I have been having lately but not wanting to hijack your blog today I think I will be writing about this on my blog soon.

The weather here has been not as bad as I expected, so I hope your better in Phoenix than warned about.

cheers, parsnip
