she used the word ultimate...

The always inspiring and sweet Felicity who writes the blog Gifts of Serendipity, gave me a task.  Felicity asked me to blog about my ultimate gift wish list - the I won the lottery kind of list.  Or, to be more precise, whoever is buying my presents won the lottery list I suppose.

My ultimate list starts with the two things I would most like to have...

1. A new car for my husband - whatever kind he wants.  He drives an old Jeep that has wonky air conditioning which makes for a brutal Phoenix summer and I would LOVE to give him a new car.

2. A paid in full slip for my daughter's law school loans.  Just thinking about the possibility of doing this for her fills my eyes with tears of joy.  Best present ever.

Those are the two gifts that would give me the most joy but I know it's supposed to be things I would like for me.  Seriously can't think of anything.  OH, I know...I want this dog...

but he happens to belong to my daughter's friend and if he goes missing............she knows who took him.  So I'll settle for the #2 item of Felicity's list and a jar of Harry & David's Chocolate Hazelnut Spread but I'm thinking the second one kind of negates the first one.

Wait, add great seats at an Adele concert and a really comfortable pair of tennis shoes and hiking boots that never wear out and a 3 hour massage (do those exist?) and my cousin and her family here spending Christmas with us and first class tickets to Europe and a manicure and some more Fracas perfume and oh I'm on a roll now!!!!

What is one thing on your ultimate list?

You have put the broadest smile on my face lovely lady, I've truly delighted in reading this list!

It doesn't surprise me that you've put your loved ones needs first and I hope that at least some of your wishes come true..... if I had it in my power [hello Lotto fairies are you listening?] I'd love to be able to take you to an Adele concert - what fun we'd have!

Happy day & sweet dreaming,
Felicity x

I'm with you on the Adele tickets and the 3 hour massage! I would wish for the same thing... that my son's tuition was paid in full!! xo

I am so with you on several of these things - new car for the hubby, hubby's tuition paid in full, a job where he feels fully appreciated and valued, forever home for our family,......and so on.....

But the things I'd want for myself - to serve the Lord more fully/completely and with the right heart attitude, and well, now I'm stealing from your list - to spend Christmas with my cousin - that would be and ULTIMATE for me/us for sure! Makes me grin just to think of it! And all that yummy food you make that the little man could eat without me even having to ask if its gluten free :-)HEAVEN!(For both of us :-D)

I love that list. All of it. And I want that dog too!

Free law school would be pretty good. That, and someone to find me the perfect job.

Your top two items are very thoughtful indeed. They brought a smile to my face. (So did your picture of that little rascal of a dog). Thank you.

My ultimate gift (wish) would be to find the best doctor out there that could focus on and cure all of pains that plague my wife so she just felt "good" all of the time. That would be it for me.

What a great list!

Maybe you can't have some of these wonderful things, but you can go get a massage, you know. You can!

Hmmm - would love the tuition checks x3 here for the guys, and if AH's cure-all wish extended to here too. That hound is safe (and adorable looking)since I have a hound here already. But hey - if you have an extra Adele ticket, I'd be there in a heartbeat!

I wish I could fly. I wish I had a relentless metabolism. I wish my hair would behave itself. I wish I had a tiny turtle, like a really, really tiny one. Who could talk. I wish I had a magic seashell. I wish I could write a really great book...not just the beginning of one, but all the way through. I wish I could speak a zillion languages.

Wait, how many wishes are we allowed...?

Oh, Jeanette, I don't think I left my name on my exhaustive list of wishes...no one else should get the credit for being so greedy and self-involved.

I'm the one who wants a tiny turtle.

p.s. hope all is well...

Have just shared this with Captain V and he said that what you really need for Christmas is for you and A-H to go to Seminyak in Bali and make a beeline for 'Bodyworks' massage temple.

This is a brilliant place where you can have two masseuse working you at the same time for over an hour = your 3 hours massage I'm thinking.

This truly amazing treat cost us $30 AUD and had both of us on a great big floaty cloud for hours afterwards but with Captain V so relaxed that he had to have my assistance to walk out of the establishment because he was in a truly blissful delirium.

He says that at that moment you could have asked anything of him and got it.....just saying.

Happy weekend!
