I don't have an official "bucket list". I have things I want to do and places I want to visit floating around in the back of my head - does that count?
Visiting Yosemite is one of those things. This time lapse video makes me think we should go sooner rather than later. Such majesty. The night sky near the end blows my mind. Reminds me of the vastness of everything, the utter vastness.
Have you been to Yosemite?

I haven't but it is definitely on my list. So amazing.
Nope. Looks really lovely though.
I have been to Yosemite many times.
It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been, besides The Grand Canyon.
Living in cities we forget how many stars are in the sky.
We have camped all over the area from Tuolumme Meadows, June Lakes and Mammoth Lake. Convict Lake is the best.
We used to go in the summers of 70's and 80's but now it is way too crowded.
The one part where you saw the cable walk on Half Dome is now one huge line of people.
For me the best time to go is in Winter, less crowed.
They have a ski area called Badger Pass. You stay in the valley and take a bus to ski. When the children were young and in school we would go every February for week of skiing.
But no matter when you go it is breathtaking.
cheers, parsnip
NO! And to think that we used to live SOOOOO close and never got there makes me crazy!
Yes...it is awesome! I think early Summer or early Fall is a good time to go.
Small world story. An old friend of mine sent me this link and he was in Yosemite when the camera crew took some of this footage. I think it is all AMAZING. Need to get there someday!
Yosemite is on my list too! Sad that I have traveled far and wide but not just a few hours north of here!
I'm like you- no official list but places I definitely want to go to. Yosemite is just gorgeous and this video is really lovely! Thank you for sharing :) x
I haven't been but it sounds amazing :)
Love Yosemite ... Went in the 70s.
so beautiful! went when i was a little girl, but also on my list of places to visit. especially after that oprah show i wanted to go even more. we are thinking of renting an RV some summer so we can 'camp out'. we live in such an amazing country, really. so many wonderful places to see!!
i agree w/angryparsnip - the grand canyon - hiking down in it - has to be on everyones' list! you cannot grasp its splendor by just looking in...
