HAPPY DECEMBER!
My daughter is 24 and lives in Seattle but she is an only child so yes, I still do an Advent Calendar for her. Here's the thing, she doesn't like sweets and her Advent box has tiny doors and no room for much inside so.........scrolls of course.
You see, my girl loves words and quotes, she's been writing down quotes all her life. She had a journal when she was little that I think was only filled with quotes she heard and liked. We both appreciate the power of words.I try to find quotes I think she will like and possibly hasn't read before, that is the hard part - I think she's usually read most of them but doesn't say anything. I type them out in different fonts and colors, cut them in strips, roll them up into mini scrolls and tie them with a satin ribbon. She keeps them in a jar afterward.
