yearly declaration time...

Last year I told you about the yearly declaration I make each September - you can read it here.  We did okay with last year's "road less travelled".  This year I'm going with the "year of discovery" because we have decided to try at least one new thing a month.

Also, while I'm asking for your help - does anyone know what kind of tree this is?  I saw it in Coronado last weekend, don't think I've ever seen one before, so pretty.

Have you tried anything new lately?

Loving this year's theme J.

As for trying something new...does the salad dressing that I whipped up tonight off the top of my head and was a hit with the family count?

Being in the fabulous position of teaching my two boys, I find myself learning and trying new things almost daily. It has such a funny way of keeping that full of wonder feeling alive! The latest thing I am trying is learning to cook using gluten free-casein free diet guidelines...should be interesting, but quite challenging!

I am of NO help with the tree - sorry.

I have nothing to offer on the tree, but I like the discovery theme!

I wonder if it's an Orchid Tree?

I love that you make declarations! That's such a great idea and good way to keep things invigorating. I don't know if I've really tried too much new lately, aside from living in a new house/city. I guess that counts, eh?

Alas, I do not! Very noble idea, though. I would recommend you learn a new language and a new skill (sewing, mechanics, etc.) Good luck! xo style, she wrote
