andrew henry's world...

This is a glimpse into our past week as seen through the eyes of my husband, Andrew Henry.

Andrew Henry says: Spent the afternoon on the roof yesterday.  Jeanette didn't want me to put the lights up because we are going away for Christmas this year but I couldn't help myself.  What she doesn't know is, this is only the beginning!

Jeanette says: I'll admit they do like great and it will be fun seeing them until we go away.  I am a bit curious as to what else he thinks he's going to do though...

Do you put up lights?  Have you started???

I love A-H's enthusiasm.

We're an internal lights kind of family but I do love driving around as Christmas approaches and viewing all the wonderful displays so lovingly created.

Happy day to you both!

Christmas lights are one of my favourite things about the holidays. Our holidays have been so chaotic over the past 5 years that I haven't put any up and no tree this year in Dubai. It's actually quite difficult to wrap my brain around Christmas here when it feels like mid summer. I suppose it's something you get used to?
Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving! xo

Ha Ha! This has the makings of a fantastic wait and see story!

Here in balmy Florida - I look forward to the lights and nativities to help me get in the "Spirit" of the season - I bet living in the desert like you do, it is kinda the same thing. Like Australia, we have Santas on surf boards - always makes me laugh.

AH - your sense of humor kills me!

I'm glad you put up the lights... I don't put them up here since I live in an apartment...

AH I like your attitude! Here the guideline is never enough lights until you blow over a fuse!

I love having Christmas lights up outside.
I only put lights on the big Paloverde Tree in the front that leads up to and frames the front door.
Not up yet but hopefully soon.

Great photo today !
and I hope he surprises you with one of the huge plastic snow globe that lights up and has falling snow. Just what a Phoenix home needs at Christmas time.

cheers, parsnip

It's in the 80s here this week but I still got the tree up and have just started to decorate. The lights definitely give us a smile!

It's the other way around in our house - I mean, I WANT the lights up but he keeps joking to me that we're not having any. They look great!
