it just doesn't get better...

We went to Coronado for Thanksgiving and it was glorious.  We rested, played cards, went on adventures, celebrated my Dad's birthday, laughed, ate and walked on the beach.

Walking along the beach each morning, collecting shells, watching the sun come up, the birds, the seals and even a few dolphins was paradise.  You people who live by the water are very lucky.

I love my warm desert sun (except in summer) and I'm not ready to leave Phoenix but there is just something about the water isn't there?

Here is our little trip in a nutshell...

The cuteness factor was pretty high, frolicking Pandas - seriously.

the light in this old church was gorgeous and the stations of the cross paintings were done by DeGrazia...
I have no photos of the Thanksgiving buffet (mom put one in the post yesterday) but I can tell you it was one of the best meals I have ever eaten. every. single. mouthful.  I'm full of regret that I didn't stuff myself more or bring a purse to smuggle some out.  We did some good eatin' on this trip my friends...

That kiwi lemonade was sublime.  The best part?

The company of course.  She'll be home in 2 weeks so it wasn't as hard to say goodbye this time.

I hope those of you who celebrate Thanksgiving had a wonderful time as well.

It was such a wonderful trip, but it did make coming back to Seattle pretty depressing. Good thing I get to go home soon!

What a fabulous trip! I do love being by the water. I lived half a block from the ocean in a funky little beach town when I was 21. After that I decided that I can never be very far from the ocean. Right now I'm about 2 miles away. I bet the zoo was fun! And yay for daughters coming home for Christmas! Oh, and that tree (and the girl) is stunning!

Great job putting those photos together. That was a great trip. Looking at the photos makes me realize how lucky we were to have gone. Just a few more weeks until the X-mas memories begin.

What a great way to spend the Thanksgiving holiday! Can relate to sending them off - have three in college and can't wait till they get home again for Christmas!
New here - will definitely be back!

a beautiful post Jeanette. Your family is so beautiful and you are one lucky lady to be so close with them. English husband does most of his work in La Jolla. Lots of beautiful huge houses have stuff made by him. He goes there once/twice a week to install etc. I live about three miles from the beach and I rarely go there?! I mean it when I say, Tell me next time and I’ll drive down (hr. or so driving time) and we’ll hook up for a drink! Thanks for entering my Giveaway...
