Andrew Henry and I were like little elves over the weekend. We had to finish getting the house all Christmased for the daughter's arrival today. Got our trees up in the living room. Seeing as there are 3 in there, we don't decorate them, just lights - wouldn't want it to look over the top or anything...
We've got the modern tree with colorful touches in the kitchen - our white tree (yes that's 4) decorated in green and pink...
Don't forget my favorite snow globes and the Advent Calendar...
My ever thoughtful parents brought me some poinsettias for my entryway and I snagged these old metal champagne buckets at an estate sale for a few dollars...
A little pink and red spray paint later and voila...
Here's how they all look together. I think I should move them so they are on both sides but AH likes them all along one side like this...
What do you think? One side or both?
Don't forget the giveaway!

I think one side looks nicer.
And four trees - wow! I can't even get one up. Partially 'cause I'm afraid my cats will knock it down or try to sit on it...
Oh wow!
You really have three trees in one room?
Your home looks amazing and whether you have the pots on one side or both, they are a very welcoming way to arrive at your front door.
Enjoy the time with your daughter,
Felicity x
both sides! And I LOVE your tree set up! That is such a cool idea to have 3 - it looks so beautiful - I'm in awe.
Sorry I've been so MIA...just playing catch up today :)
Everything looks magical:) I love that you have three trees. I adore how they look:) Such a beautiful home
Kisses, my dear
LOVE IT! Those three trees are just beautiful! And I vote for one side-it's a nice asymmetrical entrance. Of course, two sides would look fabulous as well. I believe it would take a LOT to make your beautiful home look anything less than awesome:)
Love all things elvish! "cause you're SO right - ornaments on the first three tress - now THAT would have been SO over the top (heh, heh).
Bray has a thing for snow globes too - in fact it was all he asked for this Christmas - one with the nativity (but he wanted one with ALL the participants - wise men included).
Love your ornaments - would like a full shot of that tree please....you know, the one that got ALL the love.
And while, once again, your vision and creativity blow me away - I have to go with AH - they make more of an impact all on one side.
very festive! not over the top at all! i agree with the all on one side... yeah i gave up on balance too! counter balance seems to be the idea this season! love to you all this Christmas!
Ah, 4 trees and I haven't even finished one. :)
Have fun with your daughter.
The slippers are available online at Plow and Hearth. They of course remind me of my Rudi.
Anytime I show a picture just click on it or the highlighted word and it will take you to the link.
Hmmm...agreeing with AH on this one, all on one side!
beautiful! And that advent calendar is great!
Your house look so great! I love the entrance way!
oh my godness!! You two are amazing! I love it ... all of it!!!
Wow I LOVE it, four trees! I haven't got my first one up, though I usually have a second tiny one. I love the idea of painting the champagne buckets too; clever clever!! I like symmetry, so I usually place one one side, but here I like the grouping to one side....
Welcome home to the daughter. Time for some Christmas cheer!
Totally loving your green and pink color scheme...and that gorgeous door!
...so excited for you to have your girl home soon!...She will surely appreciate the SUN...being in up here its been RAINY!...I love trees with just lights on them!...especially mulitples!....
I wish you could come for the open house....just double click to see the mouse tree up close!
I'm just gonna come over and sit in your house. Can I do that? You want to know how I decorated (probably not)? I bought Gold Canyon Holiday Candles. They smell yummy. If you close your eyes, you would think my house was a winter wonder land. Chow!
I think it would look nicer if they were in both sides. You have 3 Christmas trees? I envy! Have a lovely day, Kellie xx
beautiful... i love all the trees and the sparkling decor!
WoW! all those trees! I have a branch in a Jar! love your front door. Glamourous!! Your daaughter is one of the luckiest girls alive!
wahahahahahahaha...
yes we would want to be over the top now !
If we are voting, love the pots on one side they look fabulous. Your Front Door is fabulous !
I like to group things but I would have kept the old champagne buckets plain because I am a "type" person but that is just me.
love you kitchen tree the colors are brilliant.
cheers, parsnip
Three trees! I LOVE it!! What a grand idea. Enjoy your daughter's visit. xo
I have the same green glass tree - we're Christmas decoration twins!
I think on one side just draws the eye toward the door. So pretty! Love your colors!
Brenda
Yeah for green glass trees! We ARE decoration twins (I have 5 of them:).
Seems most of you like AH's way on the side so we'll leave them like that, oh he is going to LOVE this one.
Amazing...3 trees! They all look beautiful!
I LOVE what you've done! Love the colors on the white tree and the drama created from those three trees together. Everything is GORGEOUS! Your daughter will love it all, i'm sure:-)
Four trees!! And three of them grouped together! You live in the north pole! Abby would freak. You have been busy. Yay for the daughter's homecoming! Enjoy.
lovely! always so festive and fun!
