Who doesn't love finding money in the pocket of their jeans? That's what this post is kind of like today. While continuing to clean out my craft, gift, junk closet, I came across this little Vera Bradley purse - tags on and in the box. I bought it as a gift for someone but don't remember who or when. Lucky for you!
I'm going to give it away. Leave a comment on this post and I'll announce a winner on Monday - easy peasy. Just a little present for ya'll 'cause I think you're pretty great.
Answer this question - do you go by your given name or a nickname?

Don't include me in the giveaway - I've already been bestowed with your goodness - but I couldn't resist commenting on this post.
With a name like Felicity, you are pretty much guaranteed to have multiple nicknames, so here goes - Flick, Fliss, Floss, Fairy Floss, Fel, Flicka, Fee, Ef.
The amazing thing is that each and every group of friends calls me something different, but I know I'm in trouble or don't know someone very well if they call me Felicity.
Fxx
What a pretty little purse that is. I think it is always exciting to find a little trinket one has forgotten about.
I go by the name with which I was christened - shortened of course to Pat.
I go by my real name - Vilde. Vildes verden means Vilde`s world in Norwegian.
How sweet are you? Don't count me as an entry because I already won one of your recent giveaways and I don't want to be greedy. I did want to say hello and tell you one of "the things I love Thursday"... it's you. xo
So cute. I go by my given name, but I'm loving that my niece and nephew call me Gigi.
this is so generous!
i got by way too many names. full name is kaitlin but i go by kait, kait ryan (ryan is my middle name), kaity pie, kaity-lin, and much more sillier nicknames from my silly friends :)
happy almost-end-of-the-week!
-kait
Don't you just love finding things unexpectedly? I definitely go by my given name - but I can always tell how long someone has known my husband whose name is Robert (Bob) - if he gets a Bobby, I know it's someone from childhood.
To my nieces and nephews, I'm Aunt Nee Nee or J9 (they are all in their 20-almost).
To my husband, funny but my nicknames have strangely changed over the 16 years of sweetful bliss. They are now coming back around to actual terms of endearment (finally).
And most importantly, the one I prefer is MOM (except for when I have to wipe a butt :)
No need to put my name in, I have a Secret Sister and I store up on gifts throughout the year and sometimes I have to many, Chow!
I would love to go by Jillian but only a handful of people call me that ... mostly I get Jill, Jilly Bean or Bean bag haha
How cool is that! What a great purse! But, don't enter me in the give-away either...still in the backpack phase :-)
I'm with Felicity - WAY too many nicknames.
My hubby calls me by two or three different "pet" names.
My boys actually have several different references for me (and I mean besides Mom and Mommy - for example Momio-Poopio (Pronounced "Mom-e-o Poop-e-o") and they actually mean NO disrespect - its funny rhyming to them - and I reply accordingly with a "Yes Braylio or Deklio?"
My cousin (and her husband) in CO have a nickname for me that has been around forever - don't care to share that one.
There is the name my sweet father used to call me, Mariah, (as in "They Call the Wind..") that my hubby will use from time to time.
But the cake is taken by the one that an old friend's father used to call me b/c I reminded him of a childhood friend - May-bell Pumphandle! (Are you kidding me???)
When I was quite young my friend's little sister called me "Cake", I liked that.
No nick-names but my favorite 'other' name is Grami!
I mostly go by my given name or more like a shorten version of it. This purse is adorable. Please count me in and wish you a lovely day
Kisses
What a great day! I love stumbling across things I've forgotten but especially love doing laundry because I always find money in my guy's pockets!
I go by my given name but my sis calls me Lee (I guess the extra syllable is just too much!) :)
Im with Diana on this one- usually a shortened version of my given name- Thel or T.
I use my middle name for blogging - I secretly like it better than my first name. In daily life I go by my first name or some nicknamey version of it. :)
I love Vera Bradley, but please don't include me, I still need to post on my past lucky win at ET!
I SO need to clean out my closet. But not today.
I love finding items that I have bought but forgotten about. Mostly gifts from my travels.
No nick names, with a name this simple, Gayle, all I get are people misspelling it ?
With my Japanese side of the family I am called mumzilla, I made that one up because my love of Godzilla or obachan (Grandmother) and of course my blog name.
cheers, parsnip
wonderful post!
Hi! my name's martina and I come from Italy... I'd like you visit my blog and if you want, follow me! I wait you and your tips! kiss kiss
marti
LOL as I have done this as well! Nicknames, and they vary from who you're talking to. One son's current university swim team calls me aquamom!
xo Cathy
I have too many to count... Meg, Boo, M... The list goes on!
i have the nicest VB purse in that exact pattern cuz I loooove it :) I usually go by my normal name :)
I go by my nickname, or whatever my wife commands. ;-)
as it should be :)
Both-
Great find-
Awesome!!!! I like when people call me T. Feels like we're friends.
I actually go by my middle name... I mean that's a given name but most people go by a first. Try explaining that weirdness to a college professor :). Although my husband does call me Cole a lot of times.
Pick me! Pick me!:-). I love it and the colours. My name is Stacey-Ann, but no one calls me that, everyone calls me Stacey. Great giveaway btw! XX
MJM - Boo is my most common nickname - how funny
Oh my, this could be lengthy. My given name is Jennifer but there are many nicknames... Jenny, Jen, Jenner, Big Jen (as opposed to Little Jen - my step sister with the same name!), long-hair Jen (there were 5 Jennifers on my university res floor), Jen C-M (long story), Jennifo (my fave from my grandmother), Stink ketwink (one of many from my dad), Mrs. P (from my students, although one asked if she could call me J-Paz 'cause she thought that was cool). My husband has called me 'dear' since we met at 16. The very best though is undoubtedly 'mom'. j.
Oh how cute is this....thank you for thinking of us all
I had many a nickname growing up but I go by my real name now.
Hugs to you. xoxo
Given name: Betsy (not Elizabeth...just plain ol' Betsy) but friends & Hubby call me, Bets, bloggers (and my children - and some of their friends - call me Mug...My children, who are grown, also call me Mama:)) students call me Mrs. Mazz (short for my real last name) or Mrs. Mug...depending on the group:).....
And I DO want to be entered in the Giveaway for that darling purse!
Hopefully not too late! I would love to enter. I go by my given name - no nickname I've ever been given has stuck.
My given name is Catherine--but I've gone by "Callie" my whole life. If I hear "Catherine" I think I'm in trouble!
